Course credit for internships

Course credit for internships

Students who are interested in obtaining credit for internships should first secure an internship with a provider. Once confirmed, contact Dr. Hudak, for permission to register for GEOG 4920/5900.

You will be required to compile a portfolio during the course of your internship and provide a letter of assessment from the internship provider. Both will be used to determine a "grade" for the course.

The Institute is committed to training the next generation of water resources scientists and engineers.
We have two water research scholarship programs, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Graduate Research Program andMills Scholars Program, which provide $5,000 scholarships for graduate students to assist in conducting high priority water resources research in Texas.
The 2016–2017 TWRI Graduate Student Research Program Pre-Proposal application period is now open for both of these opportunities. Please see the request for pre-proposals, complete the application form and return to Danielle Kalisekon or before November 16, 2015.
Participating students are not only awarded financially but gain experience in proposal writing and gain exposure through their proposals, reports and posters being posted on our website and their projects being featured in Conservation Matters, our electronic newsletter.
