Course credit for internships

Students who are interested in obtaining credit for internships should first secure an internship with a provider. Once confirmed, contact Dr. Hudak, for permission to register for GEOG 4920/5900.

You will be required to compile a portfolio during the course of your internship and provide a letter of assessment from the internship provider. Both will be used to determine a "grade" for the course.

Cardo's Farm Project Student Internships

BECOME PART OF A DIVERSE TEAM, WORKING IN AN EXCITING FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT WITH TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH.

AGRICULTURE STUDENT INTERNSHIP: 

Over the course of eight months learn the basics of sustainable agriculture, and help connect the Denton community to the source of their food. Tend annual row crops from seed to harvest while working with volunteers and other interns. Farming Interns receive hands-on training in sustainable crop production and community organizing. LEARN MORE. 

FARM EDUCATOR STUDENT INTERNSHIP: 

Over the course of eight months learn  the basics of sustainable agriculture and teach the Denton community the significance of farming and land stewardship. Tend annual row crops from seed to harvest while working with volunteers and other interns. Work with school aged children in an outdoor classroom. Farm Educator Interns receive hands-on training in sustainable farming and farm-based education. LEARN MORE.
