As a member of the Analytics team, the Spatial Analyst is responsible for analysis, data visualization, quality control of statistical models, and standardization of all geo-spatial efforts. The analyst must use creativity, insight and technical expertise to help our customers derive actionable solutions. The analyst will be engaged in providing business analysis, maps, preparing demographic data, customer data and other geospatial enabled data into meaningful information that can provide insight for our users. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities that affect real world decisions.
Responsibilities
- Basic data preparation
- Perform basic and advanced processing tasks using MapInfo or ESRI
- Perform map production tasks
- Being able to understand, create and explain products created by the spatial analytics team.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a project team to complete tasks.
- Strong communication skills, creative-thinking and problem solving abilities.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Natural Sciences, Planning or related program.
- Proficiency in MapInfo software or Esri Arc GIS Software
- Coursework in GIS, cartography, computer science, programming, and spatial analysis
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Committed to client service, attention to detail, team-oriented.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete multiple tasks in a high volume, deadline-driven environment
- Experience working with Alteryx and SQL are a plus
