UNT Sustainability Office - Graduate Student Interns

UNT Sustainability seeks to hire two Graduate Student Assistants to join its team. The first position will support UNT Sustainability's efforts strengthen its community mapping initiative focusing on a needs/interest assessment of businesses, education organizations, and other elements of a community. The preferred candidate will engage with representatives of organizations to collect and organize quantitative and qualitative data, and construct a virtual network of relations between organizations. The preferred candidate will also be trained, or have experience, in areas associated with sustainability, businesses development and management, information systems and behavior, survey methods, data collection, and analysis.

The second position will support UNT Sustainability's efforts to strengthen its community engagement activities, particularly those with primary/secondary institutions. The preferred candidate will engage with representatives of local schools to support efforts to strengthen education practices and activities by integrating sustainability concepts and principles into the curricula and learning objectives. The preferred candidate will also be trained, or have experience, in areas associated with sustainability, education, curricula development, community development, and/or social work.
